What we know about you.

01Who We Are and What This Covers

We make four small Windows 11 tools: SealTweaks, SealClicker, Seal Utility and Seal Downloader. This page covers this website and those four apps, and it is written to be specific rather than reassuring — every claim below describes something you can check.

There is no account to create, no profile, and no login. Most of the time you use these tools, nothing about you leaves your computer at all. The few moments something does are listed individually below.

02This Website Does Not Track You

There is no analytics on this site. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Matomo, no Facebook pixel, no tracking script of any kind. We do not know how many people visit, which pages they read or where they came from, because nothing is measuring it.

There are no advertising or tracking cookies. The site stores exactly one thing in your browser, and it is not a cookie: a localStorage entry called seal-theme, remembering whether you chose light or dark mode. It never leaves your browser, and clearing your browsing data removes it.

03Two Things Are Loaded From Elsewhere

Being honest about this matters more than the alternative, because it is the one place visiting the site shares anything with a third party. Two things are not served from here:

• Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) for the typeface;
• Cloudflare’s CDN (cdnjs.cloudflare.com) for the two animation libraries the pages use.

Loading a file from another server means that server sees your IP address and your browser's user agent, the same way any website request does. Neither is given anything else by us, and neither is used for advertising by us. If you would rather they saw nothing, a content blocker stops both; the site still works, it simply falls back to a system font.

04The Contact Form

If you write to us, we get what you type: your name, your email address, optionally a phone number, and your message.

Right now the form does not send anything by itself. When you press Send it offers to open your own email — Gmail, Outlook or whatever mail program you use — with the message already written out, and you send it yourself from your own account. That means the message travels the same way any email you write does, and no server of ours sits in the middle.

We keep what you send for as long as it takes to answer you and to understand a bug you have reported. Nothing from the form is added to a mailing list, and there is no mailing list to add it to.

05Licence Keys on the Paid Apps

This applies only to SealTweaks and Seal Utility, and only at the moment you type a licence key in. SealClicker and Seal Downloader are free, have no licence system, and never do any of this.

When you activate a key, the app sends two things to Lemon Squeezy, the service that handles our sales: the licence key you typed, and your computer’s name (what Windows calls the device name). The computer name is sent so the key can be tied to the machine it was used on — that is how a licence knows it has been activated twice instead of a hundred times.

Nothing else goes with it. Not your Windows username, not your files, not which tweaks you chose, not your hardware. The answer comes back and is cached on your own PC, which is why the app keeps working with no internet afterwards. Every couple of weeks it quietly asks the same service whether the licence is still valid, sending the same two things and nothing more.

Pressing Remove in the app’s settings tells Lemon Squeezy to release that activation and deletes the cached copy from your PC.

Lemon Squeezy is also the legal seller for any purchase, so your payment details go to them and never to us — we never see a card number. Their own privacy policy covers the purchase itself.

06The Update Check

Each app asks this website once at startup whether a newer version exists. It downloads a small file listing the current version numbers and compares it with its own.

It sends no personal data. As with any request to any website, our host sees the IP address the request came from, and the request identifies itself as SealApps/ plus the version number so we can tell an old build from a new one. There is no identifier, no installation ID, and no way to connect one check to another.

The check is notify-only. The app tells you a new version exists and links to the download page. It never downloads or installs anything on its own.

07What the Apps Never Do

Stated plainly, because these are the things people reasonably worry about:

• No telemetry. No app reports which tweaks you applied, or that you opened it at all.
• No usage analytics, no crash reporting, no background reporting of any kind.
• Nothing reads your files, your browsing, your keystrokes or your screen. SealClicker watches for the one hotkey you bind to it and nothing else.
• Nothing is ever sold, rented or shared for advertising. There is no business here that would be served by it.

The apps are unobfuscated Python inside the download, so none of this has to be taken on trust — it can be read.

08Your Rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of anything we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us holding it. In practice the only thing we are ever likely to hold is an email you sent us, so “delete it” means deleting that conversation.

Ask through the contact page and we will do it. If you are unhappy with how we handle it, you can complain to your national data protection authority — in Denmark that is Datatilsynet.

09Changes to This Page

If the apps or the site start doing something this page does not describe, this page gets updated first. The date at the top is the version that applies.
